This year, the ARCUS Project marks its 30th year since the inception of the program in 1994. Today, ARCUS is the longest-running and leading residency program in the field of contemporary art in Japan. We invited 114 artists/groups from 36 countries and regions with full-funded support including studio, private accommodation, international airfares, and tailored coordination for research and fieldwork. Thanks to our phenomenal artists and everlasting support from communities in Moriya City and beyond, we have come to where we are now to foster and sustain forward-looking work in the arts and humanities.
